Job Analysis and Job Description Techniques covers the importance of job descriptions in the wider context of Human Resources. It demonstrates effective job analysis methods in order to obtain information for the preparation of job descriptions and other purposes. Trainees will practice writing job descriptions to cover the wider requirements of Human Resources. The course explains competencies in terms of what they are and how they are used and enables trainees to write competency-based job descriptions.

The Professional Interviewer
The Professional Interviewer provides a strong focus on the importance of interviewing as a method of selection. It lists the common mistakes untrained interviewers commit and defines ways to overcome them. It illustrates the main types of selection interviews and when and how to use each. Moreover, the course covers the design of an interview guide and the ways in which it can be used in order to collect ‘code-able’ data from interviewees. It includes the use of probing techniques designed to uncover behavioral characteristics of applicants. Finally, participants will be able to utilize data collected from interviews in order to produce meaningful interview reports which will help in the decision-making process.

Competencies: Design, Development and Implementation

This course serves an in-depth focus on competencies, their history and the important role they play in Human Resources and the organization. The course covers analysis techniques of the main components of a competency and draws to attention the differences between each. It also includes methods of extraction of competencies from business plans and application of the steps needed in designing competency frameworks and models. Advanced Employee Relations covers Employee Relations from a legal perspective and links it with the labor law, as well as the use of legal and ethical approaches in dealing with personal issues of employees. The course includes conducting reliable opinion surveys aimed at assessing organizational health. It enables trainees to provide tangible support to other HR functions in establishing and implementing a fair performance management culture. It also enables them to implement a recognition system aimed at enhancing employee retention, as well
as to list the main steps in dispute resolutions and use them to protect both employees and the organization.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation and Benefits consists of the basic principles and major elements of compensation. It covers the use of various processes in compensation: Job Analysis, Job Descriptions and Job Evaluation. It enables trainees to determine and explain what constitutes a sound and effective compensation and benefits program. It also enables trainees to design a salary structure and related policies, as well as construct the basic compensation survey process.

Writing Human Resource Policies and Procedures

This course enables trainees to develop effective Human Resources policies and procedures and perform the basic task of writing Human Resources policies and procedures. It covers planning techniques in the Human Resources function and the purpose/usefulness of Human Resources policies and procedures. It also comprises of clear explanation of the general range of competencies required of Human Resources professionals.

Auditing HR Processes

Auditing HR processes comprises of several aspects of effective HR auditing. It provides trainees with techniques to organize employee records and files cost- effectively. It enables trainees to identify areas of weaknesses in their organization’s processes: Recruitment and Selection, Employee Records Keeping, Performance Appraisal, and Payroll. It covers the know-how of creating a plan of action to improve the HR processes in their organization. The course also includes the importance of an efficient Employee Record Keeping process to organizational financial well being. All in all, it delivers methods of developing a detailed and accuracy-focused approach to Human Resources.
