IATA Global Distribution Systems in Fares & Ticketing with Amadeus

In this short course, learners will be introduced to mileage-based airfares, how to analyze itineraries and retrieve fares from a GDS (Global Distribution System). Students will also learn to price one-way and round-trip tickets and about the different travel packages.

An IATA Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the final examination.

  • Introduction to mileage based air fares, analyzing itineraries and retrieving fares from a GDS

  • Limitations on indirect travel, side trips and surface sectors
  • Backhauls, circle trips, journeys in different classes of service and alternative fare break points
  • Lowest combinations, round-the-world journeys and minimum checks

  • Check minimum-fare rules in pricing itineraries
  • Use GDS to issue tickets for manually-priced reservations

Format

Weekdays: 2 hours per day and 5 days a week – 1 – 2 hours per day practice / assignments in addition to class.
Weekends: 3 hours per day x 2 days a week – – 1 – 2 hours per day practice / assignments in addition to class. Batches are extended to students as per their convenience – available on weekends, morning, and late evenings and during the Day time too
